Many people today seem to blindly chase after trends, brands, and fads. We spend so much time shaping ourselves
to fit the latest trends and adorn ourselves with brands from head to toe, we lose our sense of
self and style. Having the latest iconic designer handbag or trendiest scarf doesn't necessarily make us fashionable or trendy. Materialism surrounds us in LA, and sometimes we get absorbed into that culture. I must admit, I too love purchasing luxury items. There's nothing wrong with that, but don't let it completely dictate your purchases. Fashion almost
always fades, while style is eternal.
Fashion is made to eventually become unfashionable, so spend more time
reflecting and developing your own style.
As Rachel Zoe states, “style is a way to say who you are without having
to speak.” See what makes you
comfortable, mix some faddy trends with classic pieces, and let your clothes
speak for you!
I mixed a classic feminine red button top with black sporty pants; a balance of classy & chic~
