From
day to day, we tend to have tunnel vision and see things from a singular
plane. We fixate onto goals, plan
timelines for our futures, then live and strive according to
our pre-planned blueprints. Despite having plans, life’s
unpredictable nature persists, and when we hit an unforeseen road bump, we
stall, and often try hard to follow through with those plans that now somehow
seem to be a figment of the past. Time suddenly stands still as we’re filled with terror
thinking about the unknown future ahead of us. Sometimes, it’s these
very plans that imprison us from reaching our highest
potential. Don’t let your tunnel vision impede you from treading
forward. Instead, elevate yourself, push yourself harder, and try to
see everything from a broader perspective. We live in such a vast
world filled with innumerable opportunities. The only problem is, we
rarely look far enough to see our options. Don’t be afraid to fly
high, and let your dreams take flight!

I love the metaphor here!!
ReplyDeleteAgree. I really want to do something different than the daily routine. What is really my dream?
ReplyDeleteYes, we sometimes get sucked into routines because its safe and comfortable. Change should always come slowly, and realizing that you want to do something different is already a start. Just take things one step at a time and always keep your doors open to exploring options. :)
ReplyDeleteEveryone has dreams, but we let ideologies, stigmas, and prejudices hinder us from discovering our true passions and dreams. The only way you can find out is to try out different things, and listen to your heart along the way. When it's the right hobby, job, person, etc, you'll know.
Hope this helped a bit! Good luck with everything!
