Weather forecasts predict a
full week of sunshine for LA. For some
it may mean slipping into flip flops and heading to the beach, for others maybe enjoying a picnic under the sun, but for me, it means another opportunity to throw
on something light, fun, and spring-like.
I usually associate white with sunshine, youth, and new beginnings, and
decided to put together a white ensemble this week.
There are preconceived
notions that white dresses make you look fat and are difficult to wear because
they’re sheer, but this all depends on the cut, fabric, and design of the
dress. When it comes to a white dress,
cut is vital, and finding the right dress that flatters your body shape,
emphasizing your strengths and downplaying your weaknesses, is important.
I love this cocktail style white
dress because it has an inside slip-like, form fitting counterpart with layers
that crisscross and drape in front to create the illusion of an hour glass
figure, slimming your waist. I accessorized
with a YSL clutch and pumps, and headed out for the day.
As winter sales come to an end, designers launch their spring collections filled with whites, pastels, and neutrals. So the next time you head to the store, don’t shy away from white selections. Take some time to understand your body shape, and find something flattering this spring!
Nicole, so gorgeous!!!
