Change can be invigorating. If you catch yourself falling into the same routine, it’s important to embrace change and push yourself to try new things whether it's changing up your style for a day, seizing opportunities, or in this case, developing new friendships. As Jim Rohn once said, "Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change."
I spent this past president’s day touring the LA Arboretum with professional photographer Deasy from Paper Ban Photography. A few months ago, I received a message from Deasy regarding a photo collaboration. After a number of emails and brainstorming sessions we finally met for the first time and explored the Arboretum together—a tropical paradise tucked away in Arcadia.
For the photo
shoot, I wore something that played with both feminine and masculine elements
and textures. With a more traditional
and some may even claim, conservative style, I typically find comfort in sticking to elegant ensembles,
but I suddenly had the urge to try something different and added a hint of rock to my otherwise dainty dress. The gladiator inspired pleated skirt balanced out the light chiffon blouse, and let me try something new without
straying too far from my comfort zone.
Riding with the theme, I accessorized with a soft feminine purse from Givenchy, a gold spiked statement ring,
and Charlotte Olympia’s striking Dolly Pumps—the heels I’ve been coveting for a while now.
