The New
Year seems to be passing by quickly.
With the blink of an eye it’s already February. Spring is only a month away, and inspired by
fruit trees, crisp air (something you dont find too often in LA), and cool breeze, I decided to trade my textured tops for
something light and silky.
I love
investing in pieces that can be worn multiple ways. I bought this snug black strapless dress
awhile back, but it's suited more for a cocktail lounge than afternoon
brunch. Effectively transforming my
“date night” outfit into a more casual ensemble, I threw on a loose, silk,
color blocked blouse, peep toe heels made of cork, and accessorized with a statement necklace and bracelet from my jewelry line. The structured bag is one that’s near and dear to my heart. It's a Hermes canvas with leather accents~ one of the first handbags my mom gave me.
The dress
and top are both from BCBG. Personally, I
don’t have one favorite go to brand, but I’ve been collecting BCBG pieces since
high school—they have an amazing design philosophy, and for over 6 years, since
I bought my first BCBG dress, the designs have consistently been classical,
functional, and timeless. I can comfortably
wear something I bought six years ago now, without looking like a little
kid.
