My Roundup of Oscar's Best Dressed 2013

Thursday, March 7, 2013

At the Oscars, I always expect to see Hollywood’s finest preened to perfection with glowing skin, glamorous gowns, and classy jewels, but there’s always select starlets who make quite the entrance with their elegant ensembles.

Personally, the red carpet is my favorite part of the Oscars because stars dress in their very best---taking high school prom prep to a whole new level…

Here’s a narrowed down list of my favorite gowns that range from bold whites and soft pastels, to striking metallics.
Charlize Theron with one of my favorite looks, dazzled on the red carpet in Dior Couture and Harry Winston.  The gown was both sleek and feminine~ clean and structured at first glance, but, upon focusing on finer details, the beaded peplum and drape added a hint of femininity.
Likewise, Amanda Seyfried nailed her look wearing Alexander McQueen.  Although the softer pastel wasn’t as eye catching, I loved the high halter neckline, reminiscent of fashion from the early 90s, a peep of skin to keep things classy, and the fine detailing--a lilac organza design that featured delicate silver and gold dragonfly embroidery.
Also rocking a soft pastel was Amy Adams in a princess-like gown by Oscar De La Renta.  Carefully crafted to perfection, the silver strapless dress had intricate beading and tiny eyelashes at the edge of each tier.  This star from Enchanted looked like popped out of her fairytale role and onto the red carpet.
Likewise, Jennifer Lawrence also glowed in her textured pink pastel, princesses-like gown from Dior Haute Couture, topped with a delicate Chopard necklace down her back.
Although many actresses picked pastel hues this Oscars, others dazzled in metallic and sequins.  Naomi Watts sparkled in her asymmetrical metallic Armani Prive gown with minimal accessories, Halle Berry glittered in Versace, and Stacy Keibler shone, stood out, and stole the show with her intricately beaded body hugging dress.
I found myself falling head over heels for these glamorous gowns with delicate hues, intricate beading and embroidery, bedazzling sequins, and textured fabrics!  Stars rocked these trends on the red carpet, and you can too.  Add hints of sequins, beading, and embellishment into your everyday outfits for a touch of Hollywood glamour!

  2. I love Stacy Keibler's dress. The high neckline is quite conservative, but the back is too eye-catching to miss!
