Just Because

I have an aunt who always has her makeup done till perfection, practically lives in her heels, and dresses to impress wherever she goes—she has a closet filled with the most gorgeous gowns, heels, and handbags, and not a piece goes to waste.  She once told me, everyday is a celebration and a gift, so always try to look and feel your best. 
I must admit, I, like every girly girl out there, love purchasing pretty things, but most of the time, they’re simply on display in my closet. 

I originally bought this grey strapless dress for a cocktail party with girlfriends, or a nice dinner, but, like many of my other dresses, it’s been sitting on my clothing rack, with tags still intact, teasing me.  Tired of waiting for an excuse, date, or special occasion, I pulled my dress out of hibernation, slipped into a pair of 5-inch heels, sprayed some perfume, threw on a pearl necklace, and felt like a supermodel for the rest of the night. 

You don’t always need an event, admirers, or fancy reservations to wear something nice—do it for yourself!  The next time you catch yourself rolling out of bed, reaching for t-shirt, jeans, and flats— think twice, and opt for something that will make you look and feel great!
