We will
experience peaks and valleys every moment of our lives, and sometimes, as
trivial as it sounds, how we dress, may perhaps affect how we feel.
On my off
days, you’ll catch me dressed in an oversized sweatshirt, a pair of shorts/causal
leggings, and flip flops, wearing little or no makeup. Though comfortable, my frumpy outfit doesn’t
make me feel any better about myself. We
dress like how we feel. However,
oftentimes, how we dress externally dictates our internal emotions. As Judith Rosband claims, “the way we dress
affects the way we feel, the way we act, and the way others react to us,” so the next time you catch yourself reaching
for those sweats, spend a few extra minutes to clean up, and dress up, because
I reassure you, you’ll spend the rest of the day feeling refreshed, energized,
and ready to face the long day ahead of you.
Putting
off my stress and worries for a day, I slipped into a soft and simple silk
ombre maxi dress, and enjoyed the weekend.
